Description of Work
SALARY RANGE: $39511.00 - $57438.00Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Preparing all Civil calendars for Guilford County (Divorce Domestic Violence Trials Motions Pre-trial EQUD).
Handle FFS (Family Financial Settlement) tracking and scheduling.
Arbitration.
Issue permits to allow for cell phones and electronic devices inside the courthouse.
Attend court sessions.
Serve as the liaison between the judicial office and internal and external agencies.
Field all requests for disability accommodations for the High Point Division.
Fields media requests.
Responding to email inquiries from attorneys and other court professionals.
Serve as administrative professional to Chief Judge.
Retrieve and distribute daily mail from the Clerks Office.
Answer telephone calls.
Respond to Jurors who makes their request via letter US Mail they will notify via letter US Mail or if print out from the I-Juror computer.
This position reports to the Court Manager. Work hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES / COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of:court rules and procedures; general office procedures; grammar and punctuation; word processing; commonly used rules procedures or methods to perform assignments.
Skills in:Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
Ability to:screen communications and based on content handle independently or route to proper destination; apply grammar and punctuation rules; type with accuracy and speed; spell accurately; use judgment in organizing and establishing document format; give basic information and instructions regarding programs or office based on inquires; operate office equipment such as copier calculator fax machine computer and telephones.

Education and Experience

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school and two (2) years of experience as a legal secretary or paralegal; or an associate degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
