Job Title: Director of North American Sales Location: Cleveland OH Business Unit: Team Wendy Purpose of Position Reporting to the Vice President Sales the Director North America Sales will be responsible for managing his/her market including managing a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to execute market entry strategies that include the expansion of all Avon Protection and Team Wendy released products and services and which maximize the companys revenues (sales and profitability) and brand in the region. This role involves the collaboration with the Senior Management Team for setting revenue targets that are aligned with the corporate strategy.Roles and responsibilities- Drive revenue opportunities while building new and managing pre-existing relationships with Military Law Enforcement organizations at the National State / Provincial and local levels in both Canadian & US markets to include:
- All Avon Protection Products
- All Team Wendy Products
- Both SBU service offerings
- Working with the RSMs of the region develop plans and strategies to drive revenue opportunities.
- Successfully generate new opportunities to grow the sales pipeline while helping to enhance existing customer sites.
- Successfully negotiate and close sales contracts while respecting profit objectives.
- Ability to manage a large program from a customer management and commercial perspective to include working and collaborating with internal departments and channel partners to ensure the delivery of contractual obligations.
- Ability to report any trends and/or observations directly to management to prevent issues or misunderstandings with customers.
- Develop relationships with the appropriate organizations and government entities to gain insight on policy directions and funding opportunities.
- Provide customers with an awareness of different financing programs (i.e. grants) that may facilitate their buying process.
- Work with the full spectrum of decision makers to align strategy and budgets.
- Provide on-site presentations seminars and demos incorporating products
- Recruit channel partners where necessary and manage accordingly to meet corporate policies.
- Establish and maintain superior relationships with customers.
- Oversee and manage Law Enforcement lobbying activities attend high level congressional meetings to strategically position product and services.
- Deliver timely and accurate market information;
- Monitor and report on midstream changes in market conditions.
- Provide input to Marketing Teams on product and market requirements while assisting with the generation of marketing communication collateral and messaging campaigns.
- Provide regular and accurate revenue forecasts on a rolling monthly basis as well as quarterly and yearly for existing and new products.
- Ability to understand customers and their needs in order to transmit information in a comprehensive manner.
- Partner with the Bid Management and Contract Teams to prepare proposals strategize on pricing and negotiate contracts.
- Work with key internal stakeholders to assign responsibility for optimization of travel time and cost.
- Optimize Compensation Plans for the RSMs to focus appropriate efforts and rewards.
Qualifications and experience- 10 years supervisory experience in the Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice Industry.
- Is highly respected in the industry and maintains high ethical standards
- Knowledge of Sales or Organizational Development with proven track record.
- Has demonstrated the ability to plan effectively for the long-term success of an organization.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and strategically solve client issues.
- Experience selling or developing programs for government procurement agencies and the law enforcement community is an asset.
- Has demonstrated an ability to sell to effectively communicate an organizations mission values and strategies that motivates others to action and to find business-oriented solutions to problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams for both technical and non-technical audience.
- High energy level. Results-driven and ability to work with tight deadline.
