The University of Newcastle is seeking a visionary and experienced Deputy Chief Digital Information Officer (DCDIO) to help shape and deliver the Universitys digital this senior leadership position you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Universitys digital strategy with the opportunity to influence digital outcomes across a large complex organisation with a strong commitment to innovation inclusion and impact - positioned at the heart of the Universitys digital enablement agenda.
You will play a critical role in ensuring Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) operates as a high-performing business-focused partner to the University. Youll lead a large multidisciplinary team and work closely with senior stakeholders to translate institutional goals into actionable digital strategies that support education research and engagement.
Reporting to the Chief Digital Information Officer you will lead a large multidisciplinary team and oversee key functions including strategy enterprise architecture business operations and transformation. Your work will ensure Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) operates as a trusted high-performing partner to the University.
You will be responsible for:
You will provide strategic oversight of commercial operations and vendor relationships and act as a visible advisor to senior leadership. This role also includes executive coordination and support for the CDIO with the opportunity to represent DTS in high-level forums and contribute to shaping the Universitys digital reputation.
The position will be located at Callaghan Campus.
Youre a senior digital leader with deep experience in delivering large-scale transformation and leading high-performing teams. You may currently work in higher education government or another regulated sector where strategic leadership stakeholder engagement and digital innovation are central.

Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) delivers cutting-edge innovative and cost-effective digital solutions and services to the Universitys staff and students to enable the delivery of excellence in education and research and innovation; and to support engagement with communities and partners. DTS is repositioning to be a technology integrator broker trusted advisor and innovator enabling the University to deliver the current Looking Ahead Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and embark on the next phase of our strategic journey.
