Job Summary
Job Summary:
- Develop and deliver advanced Power Systems Application (PSA) software for transmission networks in a 100% remote W2 role.
- Lead end-to-end project execution including functional design implementation testing and delivery of EMS (Energy Management Systems) solutions especially e-terra AEMS Reliance.
- Customize and enhance EMS/AEMS modules to meet specific project and client requirements.
- Collaborate closely with electric utilities Independent System Operators (ISOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs).
- Apply hands-on expertise in Power Systems Applications such as Load Flow Contingency Analysis and Power Factor Analysis.
- Utilize strong programming skills in C Java or related languages working across Linux and Windows environments.
- Troubleshoot debug and resolve complex technical issues in real-time and mission-critical systems.
- Support installation configuration and updates of software components including OS patches and third-party software.
- Maintain a focus on system reliability scalability and performance optimization.
- Document technical specifications operational procedures and participate in reviews to ensure compliance with design and coding standards.
- Leverage version control systems (e.g. GitHub ClearCase) and work with databases (SQL/Oracle) as needed.
- Engage in continuous collaboration knowledge sharing and process improvement to deliver robust EMS solutions.
