We are seeking a skilled and safety-driven Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join a local team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience troubleshooting installing and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems in an industrial environment. This role requires a strong understanding of control systems instrumentation calibration and electrical diagnostics.
Install maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment
Perform calibration testing and repair of industrial instrumentation (pressure flow temperature analyzers etc.).
Inspect maintain and repair control systems PLCs VFDs and motor control centers.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams schematics P&IDs and technical documentation.
Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment failures.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes safety standards and company procedures.
Test inspect calibrate install troubleshoot and repair analog and digital instrumentation and monitoring devices such as level indicators flow meters scales viscometers densimeters pressure transducers thermocouples and motion control equipment
Document all maintenance activities accurately and on time.
Collaborate with operations engineering and maintenance teams to support production needs.
Requirements
- Two year technical degree in electronics instrumentation industrial controls or robotics OR 5 years experience with such.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights weekends and holidays depending on production requirements
- Must be able to travel
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems including low/medium voltage circuits.
- Ability to work from ladders lifts and in various industrial environments
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with internal and external technical resources
- Must pass drug background and MVR
