Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe manage and adjust psychotropic medications in collaboration with attending providers.
Work closely with nursing therapy and social work teams to ensure coordinated holistic care.
Maintain accurate compliant and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings case reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide training and educational sessions for facility staff on behavioral health best practices.
Qualifications
Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license and current PMHNP certification.
At least one year of psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply).
Proficient understanding of psychopharmacology and evidence-based interventions.
Strong clinical judgment diagnostic and communication skills.
Empathetic patient-focused approach to care delivery.
Comfortable working with EHR platforms and telehealth technology.
