Job Summary
In this role you will lead a development team focused on innovation and new product development. You will play a pivotal role in defining the strategy executing projects and implementing mitigations while ensuring compliance with target dates. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the success of hardware initiatives that meets customer needs and align with Honeywells goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead hardware development projects from concept to production ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
- Oversee the manufacturing process ensuring quality control and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define component specifications and manage costs effectively.
- Ensure that hardware designs are compatible with firmware and software requirements.
- Drive project execution by managing timelines resources and stakeholder communications.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with hardware development and manufacturing processes.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the hardware development team.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in hardware development.
- Manage project risks and issues implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
YOU MUST
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 8 years of experience in hardware development with a proven track record of successful project execution.
- 5 years of management experience of development teams (over 10 HCs)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance methodologies.
- Familiarity with component specifications cost management and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of firmware and software integration in hardware products.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- knowledge of automation tools and quality assurance methodologies.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence /Machine Learning concepts and applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
