Adjunct Instructor - Health Communication
Fisher College a private 4-year institution located in the Back Bay section of Boston is seeking one adjunct instructor to teach 1 section of Health Communications for the Spring 2026 semester. The courses will be taught from January 12 2026 through May 1 2026. These courses will be taught in-person during the daytime hours. The class times are yet to be determined. Additional time is required for training course prep grading and student communications.
Overview and Responsibilities:
The course will focus on introducing students to a variety of effective health communication intervention strategies used by healthcare organizations. Such strategies will involve the use of mass media new media community mobilization citizen engagement policy communication to influence and enable individuals diverse populations and communities to improve their health conditions and promote public health outcomes.
Lectures meet two days a week for one hour and 15 minutes each. Schedule times are flexible based on qualified candidates availability.
Qualifications:
- A masters degree or ABD in the health sciences or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- Demonstrated success in undergraduate teaching.
- A proven commitment to inclusive pedagogy and the ability to foster a supportive learning environment for students fr4om diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students faculty and staff across a wide range of academic cultural and social identities.
- Experience with Canvas Learning Management System is preferred.
