Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of Music Theory

The College of Wooster seeks applications for a part-time music theory instructor beginning immediately. Primary duties include teaching two sections of aural skills to both music majors and non-majors during the fall term and one section of aural skills and an upper-division counterpoint course during the spring term.
Aural skills classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30-9:20am and 1-1:50pm during the Fall semester and 1-1:50pm during the Spring. Meeting times for Counterpoint during the spring semester are to be determined with the successful applicant. Candidates are welcome to share other areas of expertise.
Qualifications: Masters degree required preferably in music theory or composition. Candidate must demonstrate evidence of successful teaching as well as the ability to be a congenial colleague. Demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining students is highly desired.
Start Date: September 15 2025
