Whats the role

In this Sydney based fulltime role; youll join the Finance Transformation team as the Lead Process Controls & Risk Management taking a key role in the SRDE Migration Program. This program is critical to modernising a core platform that supports credit risk capital management and regulatory reporting ensuring Westpac meets its regulatory obligations and delivers sustainable outcomes.

In this role youll lead the Process Controls & Risk Management stream define and manage scope and make sure outcomes align with strategic objectives. Youll oversee governance risk and issue management across complex projects engage and influence stakeholders and drive business readiness for migration cutovers. Youll also coach and mentor a team of up to six building capability and supporting growth.

Youll bring strong experience in project leadership within large complex environments ideally in financial services. Your ability to manage governance risk and stakeholder engagement will be essential along with a collaborative approach and a focus on delivering sustainable solutions. This is an opportunity to make an impact on a program that mattersmodernising a critical platform for the future.

What do I need
  • Youll have proven experience managing medium-to-large projects (up to $20M 18-month duration).
  • Youll bring a strong background in financial services and large-scale organisational environments.
  • Youll have expertise in project governance risk management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Youll hold relevant tertiary qualifications and ideally project management certifications (PMP or AIPM).
  • Youll be confident navigating complex dependencies and delivering sustainable solutions.
