You will report directly to our Sr Systems Engineering Manager and youll work out of ourMississauga Ontariolocation on ahybridwork schedule.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Controls Integration and Modeling Engineering Intern here at Honeywell you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to cutting-edge projects in the field of Controls integration dynamic modeling and Model Based System Engineering. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers and professionals learning from their expertise and applying your knowledge to real-world challenges. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the industry and help you develop essential skills for your future career in system engineering.
Responsibilities
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist in the development of environmental control systemson commercial aircraft
- Conduct research and analysis to support engineering projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical problems and optimize designs
- Participate in testing and validation activities
- Gain exposure to industry-standard tools and software
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE:
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors degree (or higher) in Systems Mechanical Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university in related engineering field as a third year or fourth year student.
- Must have at least two of these core skills: Controls Systems Thermodynamics Dynamic modeling and Simulation Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
- Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
WE VALUE:
- Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
- Previous internship or project experience in controls and modeling
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Familiarity with product testing and validation processes
- Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
