Job Description Summary
All resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers site/property. These activities contribute to maintain repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial) manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own -depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
Required Qualifications
- Industrial automation Electrical or electronic engineeringdegree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of 4 years of industry experience)
- 4 years of field engineering experiencein power generation industrial plant automation distributed) PLC (programmable logic controller) or similar industry sectors.
- Ability to troubleshoot control and instrumentation systems at all levels from fielddevices to control system and networking
Must be abletogenerateimmediatecredibilitywithcustomerssuppliersGEprojectmanagement/engineering communities.
- Strong customerfocus interpersonal and computer skills
- Ability to multi-task in adynamic geographically dispersed team environment is required.
- Effective written and oral communication skills with excellentspokenandwrittenEnglishskills.
- Customer-focusedskills demonstratedbyexperienceinfieldservicescustomerservicesorproject management are essential.
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
- Previous industrial field service experience.
- Controls experience to equipment that functions as a prime mover.
- Electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills. Hands-on approach
- Computer skills familiarity with MS Office TCP/IP configuration.
- Prior mechanical / maintenance experience preferred.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
The base pay range for this position is$78800.00 - 120000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety offactors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for a10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
