Senior Officer ()
The Research Office (RO) delivers central administrative services across a broad spectrum of research support including grants and funding schemes research ethics integrity and policy research committees research culture and infrastructure and institution-level partnerships and collaborations.
We are seeking a dynamic proactive and service-oriented professional to join our team asSenior this role you will play a key part in supporting the Universitys research mission by managing a diverse portfolio of research grants ensuring compliance with funder and institutional requirements enhancing administrative processes and fostering a collaborative and high-integrity research environment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer a broad portfolio of local and international external research grants throughout their lifecyclefrom application through to close-out;
- Serve as a liaison between researchers internal units (e.g. Finance Legal Faculties) and external funding bodies on grant-related matters;
- Coordinate research ethics submissions and ensure timely compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements;
- Support the development and implementation of strategic research initiatives and institutional collaborations;
- Provide administrative and secretariat support to research committees including the preparation of agendas minutes reports data analyses and briefing papers; and
- Undertake other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the Research Office.
Requirements:
- A good bachelors degree with at least five years of relevant experience preferably in higher education or a related sector;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Core Competencies:
- High sense of responsibility integrity and problem-solving ability;
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client-focused service orientation;
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy;
- Proactivity maturity meticulousness readiness to accept challenges capability in multitasking and independence at work;
- Proven track record in end-to-end research grant management;
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities meet tight deadlines and work independently under pressure; and
- Immediate availability is an advantage.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
