The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Head of Corporate Partnerships to develop and oversee the implementation of NGV corporate partnership strategies. This position is responsible for leading the management of partnership and sponsorship contracts and overseeing the departments account management ensuring compliance and that service requirements are met in a timely manner.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will manage the Corporate Partnerships department by aligning the team with organisational values and goals through effective people management and modelling. This includes clearly defining role expectations monitoring performance providing timely and constructive feedback and facilitating employee development. This also includes ensuring a safe and healthy environment. Other key responsibilities include:
To be successful you will have appropriate tertiary qualifications coupled with extensive experience and success in a strategic sponsorship or business development role.
You can communicate a vision that generates enthusiasm and commitment recognising and rewarding behaviour that is aligned to that vision. You think at the big picture level entertaining wide-ranging possibilities in developing a vision for the future working across a number of timeframes with competing priorities and translating strategic direction into day-to-day activities. You can identify and manage a range of complex and often competing needs finding innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues. You anticipate and manage risks negotiating for necessary resources from corporate budgets and other sources.
An understanding of sponsorship/partnership principles and relevant government legislation as they relate to the creative industry is highly desirable.
