We wish to appoint an enthusiastic high-quality Teacher of Business to join the Economics and Business Department at one of East Anglias foremost independent schools which was rated as Excellent in every category in its latest ISI is a superb opportunity to join a thriving highly successful and expanding department with excellent resources and able motivated post is temporary to cover maternity leave.

The department occupies three purpose built and recently fitted rooms on the first floor of the main school and we are very well resourced in all respects. The department comprises five teachers including a full-time Head of Department an Assistant Head with responsibility as Head of Study Skills and the Senior Deputy Head. The department has grown due to an increase in student numbers over the past few years.

The department has an excellent reputation established through a tradition of outstanding teaching and learning. Many of our current Year 13 cohort hold UCAS offers for Economics or Business courses and progression to university courses has been a major success of the department. We find that over 50% of students in the department subsequently pursue a related subject at university.

The department offers the opportunity to work in an innovative and creative environment where pupils push themselves to high standards in all aspects of their work. You will welcome such opportunities and will be a driving force behind the departments continued embrace of technological change as well as in enhancing the already strong reputation and profile of the department both within the school and in the local area.

The school provides many opportunities to become involved in co-curricular life and the possibility of enjoying and sharing academic sporting musical or dramatic interests would also be encouraged and there will be many opportunities to develop a role in any of these areas. We are keen to further the career aspirations of our teachers and we devote considerable resources towards CPD.

Free lunch is provided in the School Dining Hall during term time when the kitchen is in operation and staff are able to use the schools swimming pool and fitness gym free of charge (in compliance with appropriate rules and regulations).All Teachers are eligible to join a pension scheme with Royal London with an employer contribution of 15%. The Scheme also provides critical illness cover income protection and death in service cover.
