Position Overview
The Strategy Execution Specialist drives the execution of the organizations strategic plan. The position manages strategic initiatives through a project portfolio management approach ensuring effective oversight capacity assessment risk identification and mitigation. Additionally the Specialist leads ongoing project and change management support for the enterprise risk management business continuity and accreditation readiness processes.
What you will do:
Strategy Execution (60%)
- Develop and communicates the strategic plan implementation roadmap annual goals and performance monitoring tools.
- Establishes a project portfolio management approach to managing the strategic initiatives and develops a rolling 3-year detailed implementation plan.
- Leads project and change management support for the effective implementation of organizational strategic initiatives.
- Builds and manages processes for measuring monitoring reporting and communicating progress internally and to the Board.
- Leads process to develop and maintain the enterprise risk management register and associated action plan.
- Builds and delivers tools training and guidance on strategy execution to build organizational capacity and alignment.
Corporate Project Management (40%)
- Develops and maintains project and change management frameworks and tools to support consistent and effective execution of approved initiatives and to support capacity building and independent project management by PACE team members.
- Coaches Executive Sponsors and Project Leads in building project charters schedules resource plans performance measures and risk mitigation strategies.
- Leads project teams in stakeholder engagement process mapping communications planning preparing documentation requirements and other process improvement activities.
- Facilitates lessons learned and sustainability planning to embed outcomes and transition processes into ongoing operations.
- Leads project management support to ensure effective and timely execution of:
- Annual enterprise risk management processes and reporting.
- Annual business continuity planning processes and reporting.
- Annual integrated client quality safety and risk plan.
- Annual activities related to ongoing Accreditation readiness.
and integrate results into the planning cycle for establishing annual organizational goals for SLT and Board approval.
What you will bring:
- Masters degree in health administration/business management or degree in communications public relations community engagement or a related field; a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Five (5) years experience preferably in the healthcare not-for-profit community/social service or similar organizations leading strategic planning and strategy execution including project and change management.
- Excellent facilitation communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong ability to interpret data develop Key Performance Indictors and track progress toward strategic goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication including report writing and executive-level briefings.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to implement solutions.
- Skilled at leading project and change initiatives with empathy and clarity.
- Good computer skills in MS Word MS Access Excel and PowerPoint project management tools data visualization tools and other appropriate software.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex dynamic and multi-disciplinary team environment.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSE/AFFILIATIONS/MEMBERSHIPS/CERTIFICATES:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or PROSCI/ACMP Certified Change Management Professional is required.
- Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation
Other Information
The position is full time 40-hour week Monday to Friday; nonstandard hours may be required including periodic nights and weekends. The work location is primarily situated at Head Office (Dufferin/Lawrence) & periodic travel within the GTA will be required.
