This position offers the unique opportunity to steer our entire data ecosystem from strategic vision to hands-on architecture and analytics delivery. Youll shape how we use data to drive business decisions building a robust scalable data infrastructure that aligns with our ambitious product roadmap and growth goals. Sum up we are seeking a high-impact Lead of Data to champion our data strategy across all our digital products and services. This role requires strategic vision deep expertise in modern data platforms and the leadership finesse to orchestrate an ecosystem of internal teams and external collaborators. The ideal candidate has a track record of establishing robust data architectures scaling BI operations and ensuring the delivery of actionable high-quality insights.
Tasks
Define and execute a holistic data strategy that supports current and future business goals and organizational growth. Develop a multi-year roadmap for data platforms tools and frameworks to drive innovation and efficiency.
B) Data Infrastructure & Architecture
Architect and oversee the data warehouse ETL/ELT processes and data modeling efforts. Ensure our data stack is robust scalable and aligns with best practices in data security and compliance.
C) Business Intelligence & Analytics
Own the BI function selecting and implementing tools that allow for seamless reporting dashboards and advanced analytics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into actionable data insights and recommendations.
D) Data Governance & Quality
Establish and enforce data governance standards policies and processes to maintain data accuracy availability and security. Lead data quality initiatives including establishing clear metrics and measuring performance over time.
E) Team Management & Leadership
Lead mentor and manage a high-performing data team fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Build strong relationships with contractor and outsourcing partners setting clear expectations for deliverables and timelines.
G) Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Stay updated on emerging technologies (e.g. ML/AI solutions) and introduce cutting-edge tools or techniques where beneficial. Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization to ensure our data infrastructure remains cutting edge.
Requirements
- 8 years of technical experience in Data Engineering Data Warehousing BI or Analytics including 3 years in a leadership role.
- Fluency in English at a professional level is mandatory required for global leadership and communication with international partners.
- **Proven proficiency in modern data warehousing technologies (**e.g. BigQuery Snowflake) and ETL frameworks (e.g. Airflow dbt).
- Hands-on expertise with BI/reporting tools (e.g. Looker Tableau) and knowledge of best practices in data modeling.
- Exceptional people-management skills for supervising cross-functional teams and vendors. Strong focus on metrics and data-driven decisions (KPIs dashboards root-cause analysis).
- Excellent communication skills to present critical insights to senior leadership and influence data decisions.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA) and proven track record implementing data governance and quality measures.
