What youll do
We are seeking an experienced Head of Community & Partnerships to join the team at SLS Barcelona. This pivotal new role will identify cultivate and grow a community of high-value locals and global travellers through like-minded partnerships inventive on-brand programming and marquee events that elevate our positioning.
SLS Barcelona is a vibrant waterfront resort that fully delivers on its brand promise in design service and scale. As we enter the next phase of our launch this role will help build the scenemixing signature SLS activations with influential partners and KOLs to cement the property as Barcelonas definitive place to be.
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage you will constantly seek opportunities to enhance and differentiate the experience for both guests and locals. From day-to-day details to newsworthy big ideas youll be an always-on cultural antennaspotting opportunities solving challenges and building an engaged loyal and ever-growing audience.
- Drive innovative cultural thinking that supports brand and business goals helping establish SLS Barcelona as a hotspot for working dining drinking resting and play.
- Develop brand-aligned activations and associations that reinforce SLS Barcelonas elevated and distinctive positioning consistently championing the hotels USPs (F&B Wellness Persona/Spirit Design) to ensure every initiative ladders back to what sets the property apart.
- Identify and engage KOLs who influence local community integrating them as ambassadors across property touchpoints relevant to their communities.
- Create compelling franchise programming that attracts audiences with spending power or cultural currency stands out in the competitive market and helps overcome perceptions around location. Partner closely with F&B and Operations in development execution and evaluation.
- Collaborate with Marketing to concept and execute signature marquee events that become mainstays of Barcelonas social calendarcurating every detail of the guest experience and crafting guest lists that inspire true FOMO.
- Secure strategic local and global partnerships that generate awareness add credibility strengthen positioning and enhance the guest experience.
- Work with community leaders to support local development initiatives ensuring strong neighborhood relationships and openness to co-funded activations.
- Partner closely with Marketing team and external agencies to ensure all partnerships programs and events are fully leveraged across owned earned and paid channelswith 360º plans that maximize visibility and impact.
- Establish clear metrics for success across partnerships activations and cultural programmingtracking engagement reach revenue impact local traction and brand relevance to continually refine and elevate outcomes.
- Shape the brand expression for SLS Barcelona from the ground up leveraging the opportunity presented by low existing awareness and the propertys status as the first SLS in the region. Define how the brand lives breathes and shows up in the cityestablishing a distinct cultural footprint that reflects the resorts one-of-a-kind position in Barcelona.
