Job Summary

We are hiring a Direct Service Associate II for one of our clients in Newark NJ.

Job Description:

Under the direction of a Supervising Investigator will learn how to review bills submitted by service providers for accuracy and for relationship to the relevant criminal offense; communicate with service providers such as hospitals physicians mental health providers; evaluate insurance information and benefits; process ongoing counseling expenses for payment in accordance with the agencies governing rules and regulations; and perform other related duties as required.
Under supervision this position involves learning to review and verify service provider bills for accuracy and relevance to criminal offenses communicate with medical and mental health providers evaluate insurance and benefits process counseling expense payments in compliance with agency rules and perform related duties as assigned..

Skills Required:

Knowledge of office methods practices routines machines and equipment.
Knowledge of data collection compilation and analysis techniques/methodologies.
Knowledge of the objectives programs administrative policies methods and procedures.

Experience required:

Two (2) years of experience in reviewing verifying authorizing and/or providing information and assistance of a technical or fiscal nature.

Education required:

May substitute Associates degree for experience

Work hours:

9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Lunch hour (unpaid): One (1) hour anytime between 11 am and 2 pm

Additional information:

Dress code: Business Casual Monday through Thursday; jeans permitted on Friday only.
