We are seeking for a skilled Medical Surgical Oncology RN for a 13-week contract on the 3rd Floor Med Surg Onc Unit. This role requires strong clinical judgment ability to manage complex oncology patients and flexibility to float within like units as needed. Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of Med Surg RN experience (3 years preferred) with oncology exposure and solid familiarity with EPIC documentation.

• Provide direct nursing care to adult Med Surg Oncology patients in accordance with hospital protocols and evidence-based standards.

• Safely manage a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio across days nights and weekends.

• Administer medications manage peripheral IVs and perform ongoing patient assessments.

• Monitor clinical changes and escalate via Rapid Response/Code teams as appropriate.

• Implement proper isolation precautions and infection control practices.

• Deliver oxygen therapy using nasal cannula and non-invasive respiratory devices.

• Document all patient care and assessments in Epic.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including oncology case management pharmacy and therapy services.

• Float to similar Med Surg/Onc units based on staffing needs and skill alignment.

• Support a safe and patient-centered care environment with compassionate communication.

• Must work 3x12 Days (07:00 19:30); 4x12 option may be available depending on unit need.

• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month (Every Other Weekend required).

• Floating is required between similar skill-set units.

• No on-call needed.

• No block scheduling available.

• No local travelers accepted (must live 50 miles from facility).

• All RTO must be declared at submission.

• Oncology experience required.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ASN or BSN).

• BSN preferred but not required.

• Minimum: 1 year recent Med Surg RN experience.

• Preferred: 3 years Med Surg experience.

• Oncology experience required (solid tumor or med/surg oncology exposure acceptable).

• Travel experience not required; first-time travelers accepted.

• Active WA State RN License (must be in hand; no pending accepted).

• BLS (AHA) Required.

• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) Preferred.

• Med/Surg nursing competency.

• Oncology patient care skills.

• Peripheral IV therapy & management.

• Oxygen administration nasal cannula use and non-invasive airway support.

• Experience using Epic (required).

• Ability to respond to emergency situations using Rapid Response/Code team protocols.

• Strong communication time management and patient-advocacy skills.
