We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Mineral Processing Project Engineer to join our engineering team.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design coordination and execution of mechanical and process engineering aspects of mineral processing projects from feasibility studies through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan design and manage mechanical systems for mineral processing plants (crushing milling flotation dewatering materials handling etc.).
Develop project scopes technical specifications and cost estimates.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (Process Civil Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers).
Manage project schedules budgets and deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
Oversee fabrication installation and commissioning activities on site.
Conduct equipment selection design reviews and performance evaluations.
Ensure that projects meet regulatory environmental and safety compliance requirements.
Provide technical support and mentorship to Junior Engineers.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors Degree (BEng/BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years experience in mineral processing or heavy industrial projects.
Proven experience with plant design layout and mechanical equipment (pumps mills conveyors crushers screens etc.).
Proficiency in AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar 3D design software.
Strong understanding of project management principles (knowledge of PMBOK or PRINCE2 advantageous).
Excellent communication problem-solving and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel to project and site locations.
