The DBA has the ultimate responsibility of physical and application database administration activities supporting end2end life cycle of the product from a database perspective. Experience in managing operations within a complex multi-interface environment with the capability to work in 24*7 shifts.
What will your job look like
You will provide database supreme level problem-solving services to all stakeholders during the project lifecycle (from Development till post-production) by clarifying and addressing permanent and efficient solutions to complex and unusual problems.
You will provide DB professional guidance and coaching to project management and development teams implementation groups as well as customer architects - internal and external Amdocs customers including stakeholders without database understanding.
You will design develop configure and administer large and critical database systems ensuring high performance and improving highly complex code where conventional approaches do not help.
You will be responsible for tuning database parameters (physical layout and memory buffers) and promoting the standardization per product across customers worldwide.
You will be a consistent professional (you are the bridge builder you set the example for others to follow as it relates to communication managing expectations and building/growing partnerships).
All you need is...
Bachelor / . in Computer Science or Information Systems/Technology or equivalent.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL EnterpriseDB (EDB) Cloudera.
Experience with other database platforms cloud-based databases or database automation tools.
5-7 years of experience as Database Administration: Install configure monitor manage maintain and restore and recover Oracle & Non-Oracle databases( Couchbase/Cassandra/MongoDB/Postgres etc. ) ensuring optimal performance reliability and availability.
Proficiency with Oracle Database versions 12c 19c or 23ai.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar database management tools.
Knowledge of high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Experience with UNIX or UNIX variants and scripting.
Security Management: Implement and enforce database security policies to safeguard data against unauthorized access and breaches.
Patch Management: Apply patches and upgrades to Oracle databases to maintain security and functionality.
