Under the guidance of the Grants Manager you will:Research and identify potential grant opportunitiesMaintain and update the NXT database with grant details and documentsAssist in preparing 23 grant proposals to be submitted to foundationsTrack the impact of your worksee the direct results of the dollars you help raiseYoull Thrive in This Role If YouLove writing and want to use your creativity in a meaningful wayAre skilled at research and developing well-organized papersEnjoy inspiring others through your writingAppreciate deadlines and can manage time effectivelyAre comfortable working in Google SuiteAre studying Nonprofit Management Communications Business or Creative WritingCareer Paths This Internship Can Lead ToGrant WriterGrants ManagerDevelopment or Fundraising AssociateAdvancement/Development Director in a nonprofit organizationInternship DetailsDuration: Minimum 8 weeksHours: 15 hours/week (flexible scheduling)Location: YMCA Association Office Cummings Center Beverly MACompensation: $15/hourPerks: Free YMCA membership program and activity discountsReady to Grow Your Skills and Make a DifferenceApplications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Take the next step in your professional journey while helping us strengthen our communitiesapply today!QualificationsThank you for your interest in our internship program!We are currently accepting applications for Spring 2026Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in English Communications Nonprofit Management Public Administration Journalism or a related writing research and communication skills with an eye for detail and in Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel; ability to learn and apply new tools and platforms with grant writing fundraising or nonprofit work is preferred but not interns must complete and submit an application to be considered for a position with educational institutions require prior approval before starting an internship. It is the students responsibility to verify and meet any requirements before accepting the must work with a hiring manager to submit and complete an internship learning agreement which must be reviewed by the Director of Operations the Executive Director and the HR may only participate in one internship (paid or unpaid) within the YNS organization at a time.
