About the role

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Officer Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title Management to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that our projects and operations respect and comply with Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title legislation and processes.

You will provide administrative and field support to Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title approvals teams to meet compliance requirements of the Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title Acts and Aboriginal stakeholder engagement.

What you can expect with this role

  • Support the business to obtain statutory approvals
  • Respond to queries and undertaking screening in relation to Native Title and Aboriginal Heritage impacts processes policy and statutory obligations
  • Assist the Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title Lead Team in administration and organisation of the business unit
  • Assist with updating and maintaining the Corporations compliance data
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with field and site visits to assess potential risk/impact to Aboriginal heritage.


About you

  • This position relates to Section 50 (d) of the West Australian Equal Employment Opportunity Act 1984 where Aboriginality is considered a genuine occupational qualification for this position
  • Relevant understanding of and implementing Aboriginal Cultural Protocols while engaging with Traditional Owners
  • Strong communication organisational and time management skills are essential
  • Good computing skills able to use Microsoft suite of systems
  • Ability to travel to regional locations
