The Northern Land Council is seeking a motivated Administration Assistant Trainee to provide administrative and operational support to the Legal Services team.

About the Role

As an Administration Assistant Trainee in the Legal Services team youll provide general administrative support including filing managing records preparing documents and handling correspondence. Youll assist with front desk tasks appointments and travel coordination and contribute to projects and initiatives as part of your on-the-job learning. Youll complete your traineeship studies while working collaboratively with the team following NLC policies maintaining confidentiality professionalism and cultural respect.

What you will Bring

Youll be organised reliable and eager to learn. With good communication and teamwork skills you handle tasks efficiently and support the team in a positive professional way.

In addition to this you will have: -

  • Completion of Year 10 high school or relevant previous work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to use Microsoft Word Outlook and other computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and respectfully with staff Traditional Owners constituents and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Punctuality and commitment to both work and study requirements.

  • A base salary of $54869 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15900 meal entertainment and holiday accommodation benefits up to $2650 per year.
  • Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
  • District allowance of up to $4884 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2678 without dependents.
  • 5 weeks annual leave leaving loading 18 days personal leave;
  • Paid Christmas close down;
  • Upon completion of 12 months of service anAnnual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3177
