Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates providing staffing solutions to Hospitals Nursing Homes Home Care and Community Care facilities.

We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse to join and support the team at a reputable Nursing Home in Kilkenny Ireland

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the efficient running of the Nursing Home promoting an atmosphere conducive to residents well-being.
  • Monitor residents health report concerns promptly and arrange GP or professional visits when necessary.
  • Develop implement and maintain individualised Care Plans in line with An Bord Altranais and company policy.
  • Assess and review residents health and social care needs regularly ensuring high standards of nursing care.
  • Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately maintaining proper documentation.
  • Maintain clear communication with residents families and the multidisciplinary team and ensure effective handovers.
  • Uphold confidentiality integrity and professionalism in all dealings with residents and their personal or financial matters.
  • Adhere to and promote Health & Safety Fire and Infection Control policies reporting hazards or incidents immediately.
  • Ensure all equipment and the environment are clean safe and well-maintained reporting faults promptly.
  • Comply with all company policies An Bord Altranais regulations and carry out additional duties as reasonably assigned.






Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Genuine interest in working with the relevant client group.
  • Current registration with An Bord Altranais.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Registered 1st level nurse.
  • Experience or qualification in care for the relevant client category.
  • Knowledge of HIQA standards.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
