Job Summary
Job Title: Senior Mainframe Developer
Experience Required: 6 - 10 Years
Key Responsibilities:
Provide development and production support for applications running on Mainframe platforms.
Develop maintain and optimize programs using COBOL and SAS.
Utilize Mainframe tools and utilities such as JCL PROCs TSO ISPF z/OS and other IBM utilities.
Work with Mainframe data structures and perform data extraction and manipulation using VSAM and DB2.
Write and maintain SAS scripts for data review reporting and automation.
Lead high-profile incident responses for critical batch systems coordinating resources and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders and partners.
Monitor and resolve job abends and other production issues.
Conduct security reviews provide system support and perform routine system maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability performance and compliance.
Deliver client support and ensure smooth operations for business-critical Mainframe applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
610 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development and support.
Strong expertise in COBOL JCL PROCs TSO ISPF z/OS and IBM utilities.
Proficiency in SAS programming for data review and reporting.
Experience with VSAM and DB2 data management.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for batch processing and production issues.
Ability to manage incident response and stakeholder communication effectively.
Understanding of Mainframe security system performance and maintenance procedures.
Excellent communication teamwork and problem-solving skills.
