As a Customs Specialist you will play a vital role in ensuring Ravagos continued compliance with customs and international trade regulations. You will support both operational and advisory aspects of customs management ensuring accuracy transparency and efficiency across all trade-related activities.
Your analytical mindset allows you to interpret complex regulations assess risks and provide actionable insights to the business. You will work closely with our customs operations and tax technology teams supporting the implementation of systems and tools that strengthen compliance and improve efficiency.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining regulatory expertise data analysis and cross-departmental collaboration within an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customs operations team in the accurate preparation and submission of customs declarations and reports.
- Monitor collect and analyze operational and risk data.
- Prepare analytical reports and contribute to the development of policies guidelines and compliance frameworks.
- Provide customs advice and guidance to business and operational teams.
- Track and interpret changes in customs and international trade legislation and translate them into practical processes.
- Collaborate with the tax technology team during the implementation and testing of new IT tools.
- Review import and export documentation for compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support applications for customs licenses and special regimes.
- Handle customs-related queries from internal and external stakeholders
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in customs international trade or tax compliance.
- A strong understanding of customs and international trade regulations (sustainability legislation e.g. EUDR and CBAM is a plus).
- A fluent command of Dutch and good proficiency in English.
- A data-driven mindset and confidence working with digital tools and systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex topics into clear advice.
- A structured and proactive approach with great attention to detail.
