Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Pharmacist Manager (formerly known Pharmacist Supervisor) is responsible for the managing the day-to-day operations of a team of Pharmacists and Technicians. Monitors productivity and performance standards plans and directs work flow and project assignments. Oversees production volume to ensure service standards are met. Identifies and assists in resolving recurring issues impacting team key metrics. Sets expectations and drives accountability for performance management and employee development. Conducts hiring training and evaluation of staff. Responsible for teams adherence to expectations including corporate attendance and employment policies. Works with Senior Pharmacy Manager to develop policies procedures and business work plan for team. Recognizes and recommends operational improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Schedule and monitor staff and day to day workflow.

Develop employees skills evaluate performance and provide feedback.

Conducts hiring training and evaluation of staff.

Develop monitor and provide accountability for employees compliance to quality service and production standards

Monitor prescription turnaround time so that internal standards and client performance guarantees are met.

Address staff concerns and day to day operational system customer service quality and professional issues.

Implement programs and process improvements to enhance the level of internal and external customer service provided.

Work with Senior Pharmacy Manager to analyze operations and overall efficiencies of the pharmacy.

Serve as a point of escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of expertise or discretion to resolve. Represents pharmacy operations in cross-functional meetings and projects.

Other special projects and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Pharmacist License in good standing

Indiana Pharmacist License Preferred

Minimum 3 years pharmacist licensure preferred

PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft office

Good organizational ability

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work in fast-paced production environment

Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

Ability to handle difficult conversations and handle confidential matters
