How will your ideas contribute to shaping whats next

As our new Senior Acoustic Engineer youll be a key member of Aurecons specialist Acoustics team helping to shape the soundscapes of Australias most complex and high-profile projects. Youll join a dynamic and flexible team of more than 10 acoustic specialists across Melbourne Adelaide and Sydney working collaboratively across both architectural and environmental acoustics across the Asia-pacific region.

This role is ideal for someone with 56 years of experience who thrives in a technically challenging environment enjoys mentoring junior engineers and is passionate about creating spaces that sound as good as they look.

Here are the key things you will do to bring ideas to life:

  • Lead and contribute to acoustic design for buildings including sound privacy reverberation and noise control.
  • Support environmental noise assessments and environmental compliance for infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Work independently to deliver technical solutions and ask the right questions to guide design outcomes.
  • Mentor and train graduates and junior engineers sharing knowledge and building capability within the team.
  • Collaborate with architects engineers and stakeholders to deliver integrated acoustic solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports specifications and modelling outputs using industry-standard tools.
  • Contribute to major projects including data centres battery energy storage and transport infrastructure.

What were looking for:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering Physics or a related discipline.
  • 56 years experience in architectural and/or environmental acoustics.
  • Strong technical capability in acoustic modelling analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Passion for innovation and sustainability in acoustic design.
  • Familiarity with state EPA guidelines and Australian Standards.
