Job Duties
- Under general supervision repairs and performs maintenance on conventional tools down-hole tools and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools
- Areas of specialization may include: mechanical aptitude pressure testing surface equipment and down-hole tools
- Performs maintenance inspects surface equipment and perform repairs
- Assembles and disassembles down-hole tools
- Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations
- Ensures compliance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
- Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process
- Given the nature of oil field service work the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary
Qualifications
Work Authorization: Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in the United States will not be considered. Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
- High school diploma or similar education required
- 6-12 months experience as a Tool Technician I or equivalent tool technician training
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required
- The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition subtraction multiplication and division is required
- Basic computer skills are preferred
Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience (2) additional job requirements and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education experience and skill level a variety of job opportunities might be available including Tool Technician II Tool Technician III or Tool Technician IV.
