Discover Impactful Work:
Seeking a dedicated PPI (Process and Performance Improvement) Specialist to implement lean processes like 5S Visual Management and boost operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide the rollout and assimilation of Lean techniques such as 5S Visual Management and other performance-focused methods throughout the site (Operations Quality R&D Finance and Commercial).
- Collaborate with site departments to establish and enforce 5S standards for organized clean and productive workspaces. Lead audits and training for ongoing 5S adherence.
- Develop and put into action Tier Board and other visual management systems to enhance communication workflow and tracking across the site. Ensure essential information and project statuses are visible and accessible to all relevant customers.
- Boost Manufacturing Effectiveness: Evaluate current manufacturing processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement. Apply Six Sigma principles when establishing production performance metrics (cycle time run rate OEE etc.). Engage with customers to craft and implement plans for improving productivity minimizing waste and maximizing resource utilization.
- Enhance processes by collaborating with cross-functional teams to find opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to staff on PPI principles and tools. Lead a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving throughout the entire site. Participate in the PPI Ambassador program to promote continuous improvement.
- Performance Metrics: Set and monitor important metrics to track progress and impact of lean initiatives. Regularly report on performance and make data-driven suggestions.
- Project Management: Lead and manage improvement projects from inception to completion ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Operations Management or a related field is required; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 2 or more years of experience with previous involvement in a PPI or lean manufacturing position ideally in a reagent or consumables setting.
- Proficient understanding of lean methodologies like 5S Visual Management Kaizen and Six Sigma.
- Proven track record of implementing and sustaining lean processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly self-motivated and ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve continuous improvement goals.
- Eligibility to work with controlled substances (including DEA background check).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with change management principles.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $72000.00$96000.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes:
