You will work in a creative and international environment and support us in Innovation Excellence with the following tasks among others:
- You will explore new approaches to innovation and develop them into minimum viable products (MVPs) for our customers the Business Entities to use to accelerate their product development cycles.
- You will use tools such as Six Sigma Scrum/Agile project management and portfolio management to develop custom process approaches Covestro can use in areas such as early ideation and product and process development.
- You will engage with cross-functional teams locally and internationally to deepen our understanding of what is happening in the Business Entities as well as in Group Innovation and apply innovation process excellence to improve collaboration and execution.
- You will explore AI and build custom AI-driven applications to support the organization in pursuit of ideation project and process support.
- You will develop training protocols and workshop approaches to train the broader organization on best practices for innovation.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program at the start of the internship
- Focus in one of the following majors: Innovation Management Project Management Business Analytics Data Science
- Completed freshman year
Preferred Qualifications:
- Overall GPA 3.0 or above
- Prior internship experience
- Student completed sophomore year and ready to enter junior year as of May 2026
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Structured approach to capturing and evaluating complex and sometimes contradictory information.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Adaptable mindset with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and methodologies.
