Performing a wide range of general laboratory support operations in the Biochemistry group; coordinating the receipt and inventory log entry of reagents and supplies; maintaining inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies; performing daily equipment status monitoring; assisting in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment
- Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility as appropriate
- Coordinate the receipt and entry of reagents and supplies into the department inventory log
- Maintain inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies and communicate those logs to the appropriate individuals
- Assist appropriate personnel in the location of and eventual removal of reagents and supplies from the active laboratory population when expired or exhausted
- Assist in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment including biological safety cabinets incubators refrigerators waterbaths centrifuges and platewashers
- Assist in the proper disposal of laboratory generated waste
- Ability to access and use computer programming including PC software
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Reasoning skills including logical thinking and deductive reasoning
- Accuracy in transcribing information
- Knowledge of quality control and safety procedures preferred
- Ability to work well with others and as part of a team
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information :
Position is full-time Monday-Friday 8am - 4 pm. with additional hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
