As a Senior Director Business Development & Commercialisation you will:

  • Lead and collaborate with key stakeholders across Deakin to achieve shared goals and drive collective success.
  • Champion innovation adaptability and continuous improvement in alignment with the Universitys Strategic Plan and functional strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with research leaders and industry to enhance Deakins reputation and strategic opportunities.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to the Business Development and Commercialisation team fostering collaboration capability growth and innovation.
  • Oversee effective communication accountability and reporting to ensure initiatives align with strategic priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.

To be successful youll have:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience at the appropriate level with a proven record of delivering strategic initiatives that drive measurable impact.
  • Strong leadership people and resource management skills including the ability to build high-performing teams and lead organisational change.
  • Deep understanding of contemporary discipline trends and the capability to apply innovative strategies that advance organisational objectives.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • A flexible results-focused approach demonstrating sound judgement adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in complex fast-paced environments.
