Position Overview:
- Engage in the negotiation and documentation of sophisticated credit facilities including asset-based lending and commercial real estate financing.
- Advise clients on financial distress scenarios corporate restructuring workouts and insolvency proceedings primarily from a creditors perspective.
- Support on mergers and acquisitions and commercial property transactions.
- Conduct due diligence analyze loan portfolios and prepare transactional documents and bankruptcy-related pleadings.
- Direct client interaction with opportunities for professional growth.
Mandatory Credentials:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admittance and good standing with the New Jersey Bar.
- Minimum of four years of experience in banking corporate finance or financial restructuring within a sophisticated legal environment.
- Experience managing complex transactional legal matters.
Preferred Attributes:
- Admission to the New York Bar is advantageous.
- Experience in asset-based lending distressed debt and creditors rights in Chapter 11 proceedings.
- Strong understanding of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
- Exceptional analytical research and document drafting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex legal matters independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a dedication to providing exemplary client service.
