Join our Corporate Banking team as a Summer Analystandbecome part of a team focused on delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBCs corporateandinstitutional clients around the world.

Corporate Banking is responsible forstructuring and executing transactions across a range of product and industry groups includingCIT (Consumer Products Industrials Technology Media& Telecommunications) Project Finance & Infrastructure US Power & UtilitiesLoan Syndications Cash ManagementNonbank Financials/Fund Financeand Leveraged Finance.

As a Summer Analyst you will become integral to the Deal Teamwhich includes senior bankers byprovidinga broad range of support including financial statement and data analysis financial modeling credit analysis industry research andassistingin the preparation of information memoranda and client pitch books. You will also be actively involved in the credit approval process documentation and closing of loantransactionsand on-going management of the loan portfolio.The Summer Analyst program offers a candidate the opportunity to work across multiple teams on a rotational basis throughoutthe summer.

  • Communication and relationship management:Conduct soundtimelyand well-communicated recommendations for credit facilities supported by thorough analysis and well-executed interpretation of relevant financial industrybusinessand market information.

  • Analytical:Responsible for conducting in-depth companyindustryand portfolio analysis to support the credit relationships for a large and growing portfolio of clients.

  • Financial modelling:Run financial modelsmainly focusedon credit analysis and risk rating evaluation.

WhoYouAre

  • You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in abusiness relateddiscipline including Mathematics Engineering Economics or related at the time of the internship with an expected graduation date of December 2027 June 2028.

  • You havedemonstratedinterest in Capital Markets.You arehighly motivatedaccomplishedandasuccess-orientedindividualwho hasa keen interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industrydemonstratedthrough school coursesclubsand/or related work experience.

  • Youredigitally savvy.You are proficient in MS-office suite of tools (Word PowerPoint Excel).Youseek outinnovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.

  • You give meaning to data.You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information.Youreconfident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.You havestrong technicalcomputationaland analytical skills as well as an understanding of credit analysis and accounting principles

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package.This role has an expected salary of$115000(pro-rated for the 10-week internship program)for theNew YorkNYmarket based on experience qualifications and location of the position.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.Additionaltotal compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
