The Parts and Service Specialist maintains a complete and accurate parts inventory minimizing stock-outs surplus parts and obsolete inventory. Assist with Service Department support including but not limited to opening closing and invoicing repair orders warranty parts management and other duties as assigned.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Manage parts stock and inventory levels and recommend appropriate inventory purchase quantity from available sources at the most cost-effective delivery method.
- Research and verify parts pricing accuracy from multiple vender sources.
- Manage special order parts process and out-of-stock parts.
- Receive parts tires and lubricants and updates parts system for lease rental sales and service.
- Manages and maintains bar-coding on entire inventory and organization of parts storage room.
- Perform monthly parts inventory schedule and returns of obsolete inventory.
- Maintains parts inventory records tags and logs tire inventory and sets up new vendor accounts.
- Processes cores and shipment of warranty returns.
- Review and reconcile parts vender statements monthly.
- Reviewing repair orders verifying parts charged out identify possible warranty opportunities and invoice activities.
- Administrative duties to include shop payables process licensing PACCAR solutions fleet management change of service management and warranty registration.
- Shop supervision assistant: Aassigning work scheduling managing breakdown cases and customer the service department with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years parts service or maintenance related experience. Previous leasing or parts room experience highly desirable.
- Self-motivated and persistent with a focus on quality performance.
- Highly organized and demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Abilitywith strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Computer proficiency demonstrated ability to learn and use various software programs including MS Office Suite for data entry reporting and communication.
- Utilize Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau MS Office and other tools to analyze data and provide meaningful management information.
- Ability to gather and analyze data to prepare (daily weekly monthly quarterly) reports including adhoc analysis and management reports timely and accurately. Key metrics include parts inventory performance and trends management of part obsolescence and mitigation of inventory risks.
Education
High School diploma required.
