Job Description: District Delivery 3 days per week / Crossroads Middle School Food Service 5 days per week
General Summary:
The district delivery position is responsible for helping deliver food and supplies as well as district mail and copies from the Copy Center.
The Food Service Worker is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing serving and maintaining food and beverage items in a clean and safe environment. This position ensures that all food handling sanitation and safety standards are met in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines. Duties may include food preparation operating kitchen equipment stocking supplies maintaining the cleanliness of work areas and assisting with cashier or customer service tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- A role model who demonstrates respect for the job and the school community
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to make decisions in compliance with State and USDA regulations
- Clean driving record and ability to drive a box truck
Essential Job Functions:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with Kent County Health Department regulations
- ServSafe Certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency in food preparation service and cleanup duties
- Ability to operate a computerized cash register handle money and make accurate change
- Basic computer skills including Google Docs Google Sheets Excel and Word
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy boxes up to 50 pounds
- Ability to drive a box truck (willing to train)
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a team
- Other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director
Directly Responsible To:
- Director of Food Service and Crossroads Middle School Kitchen Manager
Terms of Employment:
- As described in the Northview Public Schools Food Service contractual agreement.
- Work Hours: District Delivery (3 days per week) 8:30am -10:00am Tuesday Thursday and Friday. Crossroads Middle School (5 days per week):10:45am-1:00pm Monday -Friday.
Evaluation:
Annual evaluation performed by the Director of Food Service using the evaluation rubric as identified in the Food Service contractual agreement.
