Cubs Basketball Scorer/Timer - Central Seattle
If you have a fundamental knowledge of and passion for the sport of basketball Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as Basketball Scorer/Timer at various community centers in Central Seattle. This is a seasonal part-time role estimated to begin November 2025. There are multiple opportunities to extend.
ARC in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs classes and this role the Scorer/Timer for the Cubs 2025-2026 basketball season will be keeping time with accuracy and fairness and facilitate a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
Schedule:
- Fridays (typically 4:30-8pm) and Saturdays (various times)
- Estimated Start Date: Trainings willtake place starting early November
- Seasonbegins January 2 2026 and ends March 20 2026
Scorer/Timer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep time and score - with accuracy and fairness!
- The timer will regulate the playing time and track the duration of the game
- Facilitate a safe welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants
Scorer/Timer Requirements:
- Have fundamental knowledge of basketball and its rules
- Experience working with kids
- Must pass a criminal background check
Pay:
- Starting Pay: $20.76/hour
