The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense is currently looking for an Air Conditioning Mechanic A in Ridley Park PA to join their team.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lay out construct install and rebuild refrigeration and air conditioning equipment for plant facilities.
Perform work described in other maintenance classifications when incidental but necessary to the accomplishment of the assignment.
Read and make control adjustments using such typical testing equipment as Freon leak tester thermometer (wet and dry bulbs) sling psychrometer monometer velometer hydrometer humidistat etc.
Install and adjust valve controls and perform electrical wiring and installation of special electronic controls used for regulating and controlling refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
Repair maintain trouble shoot and adjust all existing types of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment (production and building).
Maintain necessary temperature and service records.
Maintain required government and Boeing required EPA Universal Refrigerant Technician Certification Lock out/Tag out equipment and related systems as required.
Visually inspect equipment power source wiring plumbing electronic components and systems for defects or maintenance problems.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
Must possess a Universal EPA Certification is a type of technician certification required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under Clean Air Act Section 608 to handle service maintain or dispose of refrigerants in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
Completion of trade or apprenticeship in HVAC.
3 or more years of experience supporting or installing HVAC systems ventilation and/or chilled water building systems in an industrial and/or manufacturing facility.
3 or more years of experience with HVAC applicable codes
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred):
External applicants that have an active recall right on file for a position covered under the UAW Local 1069 collective bargaining agreement.
Typical Education/ Experience:
High school diploma/GED and/or vocational/trade school training preferred.
Other Relevant Information and Requirements:
This is an hourly position governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining agreement.
