Job Summary
This role is based in Hong Kong and will report to the Chief Legal Counsel.
We are looking for a smart junior lawyer to join a niche industry and be part of a lean agile and collaborative Legal team supporting our operations in Hong Kong and Macau. If you have a passion to learn this is an excellent opportunity for junior private practice lawyers who are keen on developing a career in the insurance legal and regulatory field.
- Identify and advise on legal and regulatory matters for ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements for Chubb in Hong Kong and Macau.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice on day-to-day business such asdistribution models data privacy and digital customer journeys.
- Draft legal documentation such as insurance policy wording marketing materials contracts (e.g. partnership NDAs etc).
- Collaborate with other functions and guide the business on insurance regulated activities data privacy use of AI as well as complaints handling.
- Identify legal risks and give practical solutions.
- Provide internal legal trainings on regulated activities emerging laws and regulations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you must possess the following experience knowledge and skills:
- Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with 3 to 5 years in private experience with a strong analytical mindset has an advantage.
Sound knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in particular insurance data privacy and a basic understanding of digital payment.
Solid drafting analytical and interpretation skills.
Be results-driven and proactive.
Be inquisitive and have a can-do attitude.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple and diverse responsibilities.
Ability to provide solutions in a precise and succinct manner.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
