Job Summary
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Production Leader is responsible for overseeing the production department to ensure efficient operations achievement of production targets and adherence to quality standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence quality assurance and team development in a secure high-volume production environment.
The key responsibilities of the position are as follows but not limited to:
- Lead and manage production operations to meet throughput and quality targets.
- Allocate resources and manage shift schedules for optimal efficiency.
- Enforce quality standards and 5S practices across production lines.
- Oversee work orders line setups and ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and conduct risk assessments.
- Train and support team members monitor performance and promote accountability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments and ensure timely delivery of outputs.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and PCI-CP standards.
- Ensures compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
- Compliance: Adherence to company policies regulations and standards- PCI-CP/Corporate audits.
MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- National Diploma or Degree in Production Management Operations Management Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or Quality Management Systems (added advantage).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- 57 years in a high-volume secure production environment (e.g. card personalisation printing manufacturing).
- 3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Familiarity with automated production systems quality control tools and compliance frameworks.
KNOWLEDGE SKILL & ABILITIES:
- Production processes quality systems and compliance standards.
- Leadership problem-solving and effective communication.
- Lead teams manage operations and uphold quality and safety protocols.
