Job Summary:
The Assorter is responsible for examining grading and sorting loose diamonds based on cut color clarity carat weight and shape. The role requires strong attention to detail precision and deep knowledge of diamond grading standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and sort loose diamonds according to 4Cs (Cut Color Clarity and Carat).
- Identify and separate natural treated and synthetic diamonds.
- Grade diamonds using magnification tools and gemological instruments.
- Maintain accurate records of sorted stones and update daily reports.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained as per company and client requirements.
- Work closely with the Quality Control and Inventory teams to ensure proper tracking and labeling.
- Handle diamonds carefully to avoid loss or damage.
- Assist in stock management and physical verification when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in diamond assorting (real/natural diamonds).
- Good knowledge of diamond grading standards (GIA IGI preferred).
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with precision under minimal supervision.
- Basic computer knowledge for data entry and report preparation.
- Education: Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate.
- Gemological certification (preferred but not mandatory).
