As a Bartender at Booking Office 1869 St. Pancras London Hotel you are responsible for delivering a five star beverage service. Our guests visit us with expectations of attentive yet relaxed service where your personality and professionalism are delivered in equal measures. The reality of your role and the responsibility you hold is that you can either make or break a guest experience depending on the service you provide. Product knowledge menu knowledge and the right amount experience are absolutely essential for you to be successful in your role. - Provide warm personalized service that reflects the Booking Office 1869 ethos.
- Demonstrate thorough product and cocktail knowledge guiding guests with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Handle all transactions accurately and follow cash handling procedures.
- Maintain bar cleanliness and equipment in line with hygiene and maintenance standards.
- Assist in training new team members and sharing beverage knowledge when required.
- Promote teamwork and a positive culture aligned with Marriotts core values.
- Uphold grooming and appearance standards and represent the brand with professionalism at all times.
- Previous experience in a luxury or high-volume bar environment.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails spirits wines and bar techniques.
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests confidently and naturally.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to consistency in service and product delivery.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and basic food safety standards.
- Competent in using POS systems such as Micros or Symphony.
- A proactive and team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Previous experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel premium cocktail bar or restaurant is preferred.
