Responsibilities
  1. Overall Responsibilities:
    • Developgrowthstrategiesforthedesignatedsub-segmentsinNorth AmericaEuropeandAPAC.
    • Convertthestrategyintomulti-yeargrowthplansthat expandbothpositionandprofitability.
    • AlignregionalsalesR&DandProductManagementresourcestoexecutethegrowthplan.
    • Establishleading operationalandlaggingfinancialmetricsfor the segment arenotlimitedtosalesgrowthandmargingrowth.
    • Growmarketshareinkeygeographies.
    • Develop coachandmanagetalent.
    • Staywithinbudgetandtimelinesinachievingthe aboveresults.
    • Strongfactbase quantifyingkeydimensionsofthesegment
    • Leadingandlaggingeconomicindicatorsforthesegment
    • Quantifiedassessmentofsub-segmentattractivenessineachrelevantgeography
    • Competitive intelligence

  2. Strategy Execution/Growth Plan The Strategy should include an assessment of adjacent markets and technologies new geographies. The growth plan should consider both organic and inorganic growth.
    • Execute the strategy to achieve the financial growth plans. This should include:
      • Aligningall internalstakeholders aroundsegment growthplans.
      • Maintainingcontactwithkeycustomersinallregionstogainmarketinsightanddeepercustomerunderstanding.

      • Maintainingcontactwithkeysuppliersorco-suppliersin theindustrytounderstandtheircapabilitiesandinnovationstobetterservethesegment.
      • ActiveinvolvementinindustryassociationstorepresentSherwin-Williamsasaglobalcoatingsleader.
      • Supportingsalesin positioningappropriateproductofferingsfortargetcustomersegments.
      • Identifyandestablishrelationshipswithkeyindustryinfluencersandbrandowners.
      • ForselectedstrategicaccountspartnerwiththeEnterpriseSellingteamtodeliveranenterprise-widevaluepropositionthatdeliversonvalueelementsfromseveraldivisionsorgroups.
      • Support theglobal salesorganization atthestrategic aswellas tacticalaccount levelthrough targetingleadgeneration salestooldevelopment pricingguidance andcollaborative selling.
  3. Global Account Management
    • Foraselectnumberofglobalaccountsworkwiththeregionalaccountownerstocoordinatethecross regionalaccountplan.
    • Facilitateserviceineachregionthatreflectstheglobalimportanceoftheseaccounts
  4. Product Development and Commercialization
    • Develop arobustnew productdevelopment expansion.
    • Collaborate withSegment ProductManagement onroad map execution.
    • ResponsibleandAccountableforStageGatePhase1OpportunityIdentification
    • Responsible tocontributeasaproject team memberto Phase 2through5 by advancingcommercialdataand refiningthevalueproposition andfinancial assessments.
    • Leadthemarket introductionfor new products.

    • SupportProductManagementinprioritizingsegment-specificLabWorkRequests(LWRs).

  5. External Communications
    • Identifykeystakeholdersandbuildtailoredmessagemaps.
    • Recommendkeyeventsandmediarelevantforthe focusedsegment&supportMarcominexecutingtheseeventsthroughcontentcontributionand participation
    • Ensurethoughtleadershipinthesegment(s)througharticlespresentationsandinterviews.
  6. Internal Communication
    • Delivermarketandproducttrainingincollaboration withtheProductManagersandRegionalMarketManagers.
    • Ensureeffectivesalesandmarketingtoolsaswellasprintedcollateralfor internalandexternaluse.
    • Increase organizational alignment around segment strategy through quarterly reviews with relevant internal stakeholders.
  7. Leadership
    • Work cooperatively with Management in all Global locations.
    • Managelimitedresourcesinpursuitof thehighest returnoninvestment(ROI)inthefocusedsegment.
    • Overcomeinternal barriersinachieving objectives.
    • InteractwithTechnicalSalesManufacturingHumanResourcesandFinanceDirectors.
    • TrackandreportFocusMarket-basedresultsandactivities.
