About the role
Seeking an experienced IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) Developer to design build and enhance enterprise-grade integration flows supporting policy administration and downstream booking systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM MQ IIB Compute Nodes (ESQL) XML/Flat-File transformations and proven delivery experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
You will collaborate with architects Duck Creek SMEs QA teams and downstream stakeholders to support a multi-phase core modernization program enabling both legacy and modernized Duck Creek platforms to seamlessly integrate with WINS and future cloud-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop IIB message flows to support Duck Creek booking and downstream systems
Implement ESQL/XPath-based transformations canonical models and flat-file mapping logic
Configure and manage MQInput Compute Filter Mapping and MQOutput nodes
Build schema-aware routing and version-based processing for legacy & modern XML payloads
Develop and maintain error handling BOQ/DLQ processing and replay capabilities
Collaborate with enterprise architects to ensure adherence to integration patterns and standards
Support integration testing UAT performance tuning and production rollout activities
Create and maintain technical documentation mapping specs and deployment artifacts
Troubleshoot MQ/IIB flows in lower and production environments
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation for integration solutions
Required Skills & Experience
5 years hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus
Strong ESQL XML XPath XSD and SOAP/REST experience
Proven expertise in IBM MQ (queues topics channels BOQ/DLQ handling)
Experience with flat-file and fixed-length transformations (DFDL/ESQL)
Proficiency in message versioning schema validation and routing logic
Experience working with integration patterns middleware and ESB architectures
Hands-on debugging performance tuning and root cause analysis skills
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Azure DevOps/Bamboo)
Strong communication and technical documentation capabilities
Certifications (Nice-to-Have)
IBM Certified Solution Developer Integration Bus or ACE
Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure)
Required Skills:
Mandatory Required Skills & Qualifications: 5 years of experience as a Product Owner and total 12 years of experience. Strong U.S. P&C Insurance Domain Knowledge is Mandatory. Hands-on experience in both Commercial Lines (CL) and/or Specialty Lines (SL) is mandatory specifically in the U.S. regulatory underwriting and rating context. Experience working with Policy Administration Systems (PAS). Demonstrated ability to write high-quality user stories acceptance criteria features BRDs and workflows. Proven experience leading client conversations independently. Experience in UI modernization / legacy systems upgrade initiatives. Preferred Skills: CSPO / SAFe PO/PM certification preferred. Familiarity with U.S. policy lifecycle submission quoting binding endorsement renewal cancellation and reinstatement. Soft Skills: Clear confident communicator with executive presence. Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Collaborative team player who can influence without authority.
