he Opportunity:
epocrates an athenahealth company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Email Campaign Associate to lead the execution of B2B email marketing initiatives within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) as well as implement grow and scale our marketing automation program and maximize our outreach capabilities. As a core member of the Marketing Operations team you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end build and deployment process for email campaigns that drive engagement with our commercial audiencesincluding pharmaceutical clients healthcare advertisers and strategic partners.
Position Summary:
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Campaign Associate is responsible for Salesforce Marketing Cloud campaign implementation execution design and ongoing support of our marketing automation programs. The ideal candidate will be able to build campaigns from both a technical and business perspective. This person would work alongside marketing and various other teams to implement campaigns to improve engagement and drive outcomes. The ideal candidate will be able to perform technical consultation for our business needs as well as perform technical development work required in the platform. This person will drive epocrates marketing automation vision forward as we look to fully optimize Marketing Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Execution & Ownership (75%)
Manage the full campaign lifecycle in SFMC for B2B marketing efforts including email setup audience segmentation QA testing and deployment
Build and maintain journeys automations data extensions CloudPages and templates in alignment with commercial marketing goals triggered emails ad hoc emails subscriber lists segmentation groups and suppression lists
Monitor email and contact data quality and integrity while developing solutions and approaches to ensure cleanliness and quality of data from multiple sources through use of Everest/Validity and other tools
Own quality assurance and compliance across all campaign assets (CAN-SPAM deliverability best practices brand standards)
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing stakeholders to translate campaign briefs into scalable email workflows and align messaging with customer communications
Develop and maintain campaign documentation campaign templates and process guides to support repeatable high-quality execution
Contribute to roadmap planning helping evolve the MarTech stack in service of commercial objectives
Platform Administration & Technical Enablement (25%)
Serve as the SFMC email execution lead for the commercial marketing team configuring platform components to meet evolving campaign needs
Write SQL queries for audience segmentation lead scoring and reporting integrations
Partner with various other stakeholders to support SFDC data flows
Qualifications:
24 years of hands-on experience building and deploying campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Strong understanding of commercial marketing workflows lead generation and digital engagement strategies
Proficiency with AMPscript SQL HTML/CSS for email and SFMC modules (Journey Builder Email Studio Automation Studio CloudPages)
Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and experience supporting sales-aligned marketing efforts
Strong QA discipline and experience managing multiple campaigns simultaneously under tight deadlines
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Administrator certification preferred
Strategic thinker that understands the bigger picture and can take a project from concept to fruition
Capable of working in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
Experience with marketing/messaging to executives or experience with B2B marketing or account-based marketing a plus
Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree required
