Job Summary

Operations Specialist (Key)

Education: Bachelors Degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution required

Required Skills:

  • Recent experience responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests on behalf of federal government agencies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Post graduate degree
  • Proven knowledge and application of the Privacy Act related to systems of record and the release of records in accordance with FOIA requirements.
  • Familiarity with FOIA legislation policies and processes including 5 USC 552 (as amended) DoD Manual 5400.07 (DoD Freedom of Information Act Program January 25 2017) and DoD FOIA request processing procedures such as SD Form 472.
  • Experience managing requests involving research report writing and handling data within automated databases or electronic records including data input deletion retrieval manipulation and correction.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro specifically in applying FOIA redaction criteria and redaction capabilities.
  • Prior use of the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) for routing and staffing packages within the Department of Defense.
  • Experience handling classified information including knowledge of derivative classification requirements original classification authority processes and declassification procedures.
  • Ability to support the management and oversight of sensitive DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) compartmented programs.
  • Demonstrated capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities supported by strong organizational planning and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to identify stakeholders foster collaboration lead groups develop and advocate positions and negotiate compromises in a multifunctional environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with senior civilian and military leaders within DoD the IC interagency partners National Security Council executive branch appointees members of Congress and their staffs and other government agencies.
  • Skilled in leading teams negotiating compromises and influencing key leaders customers and stakeholders on highly sensitive issues with significant national or international consequences.

Clearance: Active TS security clearance with immediate SCI eligibility upon award
