Based at our Luton manufacturing plant youll do just that. Established in 1993 GKN Aerospace in Luton is a world leader in commercial and military ice protection systems and transparencies. Offering a full range of capabilities; design analysis testing certification and manufacture of electro-thermal ice protection military fast jet canopies and flight deck windows to over 20 programmes including: Boeing 787 Dreamliner Airbus A320 AgustaWestland AW101 Eurofighter Typhoon and Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor. Our customers include Boeing Airbus Lockheed Martin Bell Helicopters Textron BAE Systems Pratt & Whitney Leonardo. Our Luton site is home to 370 employees and onsite facilities including onsite parking food hub and vending machines.
We are seeking a dynamic and organised HR Administrator to join our team at the Luton manufacturing this role you will work collaboratively with the HR Team and directly with employees supporting the administration across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the HR Manager you will be responsible for delivering key administrative and operational activities essential to the smooth functioning of HR operations.
Core operational hours are Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday 07:30 to 12:30. Flexibility around working hours can be discussed during the interview process.
The successful applicant will provide a complete HR Administration service for the complete employee lifecycle including:
Preparing employment offers and contracts
Managing pre- employment checks
Onboarding and Offboarding administration
Creating maintaining and audit complete accurate HR files and databases relating to all personal information employment history and benefits-related records
Recording and reporting on sickness absence
Enter updates to the HR systems with employee change requests creating reports maintaining employment records as required by retention policies run reports as needed and other functions.
Support site-wide communications by preparing and distributing HR-related updates notices and announcements to employees
Be the key person in the team for ensuring administration tasks are kept up to date
Supporting initiatives and projects to raise employee engagement and help make us a Great Place to Work
To help us make a difference youll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills experience qualifications and attributes:
Essential:
Human Resources administration experience involving daily interaction with employees and managers
Experience / knowledge in HRIS and general administration
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel
Experience of working in a fast-paced operational environment
Desirable:
Knowledge of SuccessFactors (HRIS)
Knowledge of SAP
HR process knowledge
CIPD Qualified or working towards
